Shake well before using compiles reflections and experiences around education in the last decades in Latin America. It includes 21 contributions by artists, educators, curators, historians and activists, with texts ranging from commissioned essays to existing ones, from new interviews to translations from English and Portuguese exploring the role of education in society, the public reach of art and emerging forms of political critique. Far from offering a vast overview, this book seeks to account for the specific conditions of the region and how they have modeled an autonomous geography of pedagogic problems and experimentation.
