Publication on Central American artists Margarita Azurdia (1931-1998, Guatemala), Rosa Mena Valenzuela (1924-2004, El Salvador) and Emilia Prieto (1902-1986, Costa Rica). This book reviews the artwork and legacy of each of these women through images and texts by curators and researchers. The artists are “three very different people, [but] they share a tremendous strength to create and, mainly, the courage to get rid of the feminine clichés that their society traditionally imposed on women dedicated to art as a profession”. Rosina Cazali.
