This publication reviews three decades of work by Patricia Belli (Managua, 1964). She was one of the engines of the development of experimental art and critical art practices in Nicaragua and Central America since the mid-eighties, which sought to redefine the role of art in the public sphere. Belli claims the power of the vulnerable body, but also its rage and libidinal energy, as authentic forms of resistance.
