Costa Rica and Puerto Rico are often confused with one another and their capital cities, San José and San Juan, frequently inverted. Puertos y Costas Ricas was an action, documentation and exhibition project presented in both cities in 2000. It somehow originated in the humoristic subversion of this confusion, and it connected public and private interventions by five young artists from both countries. This publication gathers the memories of this event. Artists: Chemi Rosado and Jorge Rivera (Puerto Rico), Federico Herrero and Rocío Con (Costa Rica), and Nadia Mendoza (Costa Rican based in La Habana).
