This catalogue, published on the occasion of the VII Havana Biennale in 2000, compiles images of works and information of participating Costa Rican artists. The text from Virginia Pérez-Ratton and the brief explanation of the exhibition Central America: Body and Culture written by Alejandro Tosatti, provide a general introduction to the works presented at this Biennale. Participating artists were Pedro Arrieta, Alejandro Cardona, Sila Chanto, Laurencio Colther, Santos Guzmán, Andrew Irwin, Marisel Jiménez, Adolfo Siliezar, Sandra Trejos and Manuel Zumbado.
