In 2001, TEOR/éTica exhibited El Circo (The Circus), by Nicaraguan artist Patricia Belli, a smaller version of The Circus exhibited at the VII Havana Biennale in 2000. This catalogue includes images of Belli’s work as well as texts by Virginia Pérez-Ratton, Tamara Díaz and Santiago Olmo. The Circus was an installation that Patricia had worked, discussed and refined during the previous two years and was a symbolic work about ‘the daily spectacle’. In this work the human condition, the precariousness of daily life and even the social system are represented.
