In 2008, TEOR/éTica’s exhibition program included the work of Ecuadorian artist Manuela Ribadeneira in an exhibition entitled To be born in a stable does not make you a horse (o de la patria por nuestra voluntad). It sought to make “a reflection on (the) territory(ies) and their defining processes” and on the “conceptual meaning of the line”. This catalogue also includes an introduction by Virginia Pérez-Ratton, a conversation between Ribadeneira and Vincent Honoré, and an academic paper by Rodolfo Kronfle Chambers, accompanied by color images of the works included in the exhibition as well as of other installations and actions made by the artist.
