Inaugurated in 2016, the Alter Academia project was conceived as a study-space where new ways of learning and working could be engendered from affection and complicities. In this first edition, such complicities were growing organically, to the point where months after the residence was over, artists and other parties involved continued to work on this publication, which somehow gathers a memory of the coexistence and exchange that occurred then. From a list of lived situations and moments, some materials became a pretext for describing and understanding how the Alter Academia was experienced. This little book is the compilation of those affections and effects.
