Introduction to the employee handbook

$7.00

Introduction to the employee handbook is an anti-handbook for cultural workers. It shares strategies of resistance, camouflaging techniques, and methods to counterbalance precarity and the inertias of neoliberal accumulation that instrumentalize our work in contexts such as Central America and the Caribbean. It gathers conversations, held between 2019 and 2023, by TEOR/éTica (Costa Rica), Beta-Local (Puerto Rico), the taller de ediciones económicas (Mexico), and other related organizations. The purpose of this handbook is to think with others about the labor rights we demand, what kind of workers we want to be, and what actions we believe could help build that path.

Authors: Sofía Gallisá Muriente (PR), Pablo Guardiola (PR), Michael Linares (PR), Paula Piedra (CR), Nicolás Pradilla (MEX)

Collaborators: Adrian Flores Sancho, Verónica Rivera Torres, Teesa Bahana (32 East), Luciana Fleischman y Lina Mejía (Platohedro), Susana Sánchez Carballo y Gala Berger (CasaMA), Marga Sequeira y Catalina Tenorio (LaRuidosaOficina), Yina Jiménez Suriel, Néstor Delgado Morales, Jaime Ruiz Martínez, Aeromoto, Obrera Centro, Sofía Olascoaga, Sol Aréchiga Mantilla, Pamela Desjardins, Guerrilla Translation, Lugar Común Oaxaca y Andrea Ancira (tumbalacasa).
