SUMMARY:Sharing a Storm: A Memoir of the Study Room 2020-2021
                        DESCRIPTION:
Sharing a Storm:

A Memoir of the Study Room 2020-2021

Since 2017, Cuarto de Estudio (Study Room) has had the objective of activating the archive and the library of TEOR/éTica’s Lado V - Center for Study and Documentation. For the 2020 edition, Cuarto de Estudio was designed as a space to expand alliances between people whose different practices could establish conversations through exploring TEOR/éTica’s collections, or from other ideas that could emerge from studying them. The project, which ended up happening virtually, gave us the opportunity to go beyond reflecting on the act of documenting. It allowed us to experiment and think about other ways of approaching the construction of a personal and a collective memory, in the uncertain context of the last few months.

The publication of this memory, which in some way marks the end of the project, aims to be both a record of the experience, and a means to share some of the strategies with which we approached the idea of the archive and its study. Rather than having understood these ideas as fixed concepts to approach the collections, Cuarto de Estudio and this publication aimed to explore them from the perspective of each participant, according to their own questions and definitions.

This publication was made possible thanks to the support of Ffai and Arts Collaboratory.
